Payne participation in the original move of God under Apostle William Seymour's revivals and Bishop Charles Harrison Mason's founding of the COGIC CHURCH as its organizational foundation. Since the year of 1986 the Presiding Bishop and Chief Apostle of the COGIC, USA - INTERNATIONAL has been Bishop J. L. Payne in the Jackson, Mississippi Headquarters. Today the ministry has resulted in a worldwide organization spanning many cultures and nations of the earth for several decades.
